The Keys of Telku / The Temple of the Apocalypse pt. 7 / 3592 CE / 1-12-20

Uli investigates deeper into the catacombs beneath the old abandoned Moathouse, and discovers more of the dark folk. Combat ensues and soon several other members of the party descend down the hidden ladder to enter the fray. After the dark folk are dispatched, the party questions Henry's inclination to strike them down with killing blows, arguing that while his own aasimar nature protects him from the explosions of the dark folks' deaths, his party members are not so lucky. The party proceeds deeper into the catacombs, at one point avoiding a set of stairs that leads to some sort of watery pool after one of Moss's summoned cats appears to meet an unfortunate end there. In the next chamber, Henry opens a false door, leading to a clanging sound somewhere deeper in the complex, and the the party is attacked by dark stalkers, the dark creepers' taller brethren, lead by a troglodyte sorcerer. Once more dispatching their foes, Adrienne pursues a fleeing dark folk deeper into the complex, only to be confronted with an ambush. As she battles dark folk and their pet hyena, Uli discovers the stairs leading back up to the Moathouse basement are blocked by a portcullis, which Henry and Bean work to raise using a winch hidden behind a secret door, and Roisyll investigates the corpse of the slain troglodyte and his dark altar to some unknown god.
