The Keys of Telku / The Temple of the Apocalypse pt. 4 / Nulen the 27th through Balen the 9th, 3592 CE / 12-15-19

General Summary

The Adventurers have just freed Gearald Fitzgrey from the tree under which he was trapped, but with the beating of an ominous distant drum, more orcs descend upon them, and the battle is on. Using a bevy of magic, tactics, and abilities, the Adventurers are able to route the orc attack and save Gearald and his nephew Emory (and even their mule). Gearald warns them that the orcs are fanatics who worship a dark god called Ithaqua, and that Ithaqua can also transform the unwary into something he calls "wind-walkers," evil spirits that spread madness. After retrieving Coron and their horses, Gearald leads the party to his stockade, where he welcomes them to spend the night. The next day he reveals that he was once the royal Huntmaster of King Tharin of Amarath, and offers letters of introduction to the king. The party spends the next eleven days navigating through the seemingly endless expanse of the Northern Wastes, until they see the light of a campfire up ahead. Their fellow travelers turn out to be a gnome and several dwarves, all clerics, who have been spreading the good word of their goddess Galadea. After spending a pleasant evening with their fellow travelers, and having learned a little more about their destination, the party awakens refreshed and hoping to finally reach their destination of Magepoint within the day.
