The Age of Worms / The Zenith Trajectory pt. 6/ Fos the 21st through the 22nd, 3593 CE / 6-6-21

Not By Choice has traveled to the mountainous interior of the rocky island which houses the city of Cauldron. They have come searching for an eccentric hermit by the name of Crazy Jared, who they believe can aid them in their quest to find an entrance to the Everlasting Night, where their quarry, a missing dwarf by the name of Zenith Splintershield, may lie. Having found Jared's self-styled kingdom (a tented compound painted to resemble a castle), the party has come into conflict with a red dragon named Dottrog, Son of Hookface. As they successfully battle the beast, Harrov strikes a killing blow, puncturing Dottrog's lung and causing the red dragon to explode in a shower of hot gore. As Not by Choice attempts to navigate Jared's insane belief that he is in fact lord of a kingdom called "Jaredia," they are able to ascertain that a possible entrance to the Everlasting Night, which Jared describes as the "Pit of Seven Jaws," lies in a valley a day's journey to the north. When Not by Choice reaches they valley, they begin the descent into the pit, but discover the frozen body of a drow moments before being attacked by the drow's killer, a deadly cryo-hydra!
