The Age of Worms / Flood Season pt. 5 / Galen the 23rd, 3592 CE / 5-3-20

In the aftermath of the battle with the Red Sash bandits and the mysterious masked assassins, the heroes begin exploring the rest of the Lucky Monkey tavern. They discover that the inner courtyard has been overrun with packs of wild monkeys, who viciously attack the party until they destroy about half of the vicious beasts and close off the courtyard to avoid the rest. They continue to explore the first floor of the tavern, disturbed by the fact that there is no sign of the twenty-something guests listed in the guestbook they find. They finally come to the kitchen, where Milton detects sounds of someone in the room. After demanding their surrender, he goes up the adjacent stairs to investigate while other party members enter into the kitchen to discover a vicious-looking wererat standing over a severed head. And he appears to not be the only one in the room....
