The Age of Worms / Flood Season pt. 3 / Galen the 22nd through the 23rd, 3592 CE / 4-6-20

The party is making their way back from the Demonscar Ball when they discover a note pinned to the door of Butter Bath. It is from Jenya Urikas at the church of Jeda asking for assistance in an urgent matter. When they reach the church, Jenya informs them that Cauldron is in danger of flooding and several of the Wands of Sacred Water have gone missing. The Church of Jeda is the only of the four churches that currently maintains their wands. The Church of Crom has given their wands to the Jedites, the Church of Akuras refuses to contribute to keeping the waters at bay, and the priests from the Church of Peladon have disappeared. With the four wands in their possession being insufficient to protect the town from disaster, Sarcem Delasharn, the High Priest of Jeda, has followed a lead that the missing priests of Peladon and their wands could be located at the Lucky Monkey Inn on the coastal road. But Sarcem sent a message via a sending spell that he had been attacked and mortally wounded. Jenya entreats the party to go to the Lucky Monkey to recover the wands and, if possible, Sarcem Delasharn. The party agrees and sets out the next day. Rikit accompanies them in order to utilize the ferry from Cauldron to the mainland. After bidding the others farewell, he departs to pursue his love, Corvina Deshokkar. The rest of the party makes their way to the Lucky Monkey, where they quickly determine that it has been the site of a recent bloody battle. Spotting bandits inside the tavern, a fight soon breaks out., as the drunken, rowdy bandits are joined by mysterious masked assassins.
