As the corrupt green worm burrows towards Scrimshander's brain, Doctor Marrow uses her precision as a surgeon to definitely remove the creature moments before the damage becomes permanent. Scrimshander returns the favor to the party by locating the hidden latch on Tarkilar's treasure chest, which Milton carefully opens with his sword to avoid the poison trap set by the mad necromancer. With the Wands of Sacred Water (as well as a large amount of coins) secured, the party utilizes the service of a grateful Tstha-Ghi to exit the underground complex through the muddy lava tube and hurry back to Cauldron, where it seems the rains are falling even harder than ever. Distributing the wands among those priests and party members who can wield them. Jenya Urikas, the high priestess of Jeda, leads the party down to the lakeshore, where the waters of the lake have already begun seeping into the buildings. After hours of careful casting. the worst of it is over, and a relieved Jenya thanks the party just moments before Scrimshander collapses from the disease with which the worm zombies infected him. With Scrimshander recovering at the Temple of Jeda, the rest of the party does some business about town, spending their hard-earned loot, including an additional bonus from the Church of Jeda delivered by Jenya's assistant, Ruphus. Eventually Nari, Marrow, and Lulu make their way to the Treasury of the Sky to shop for magic items. Kerwin Aldersun, impressed with Not By Choice's exploits, commemorates their accomplishments by adding their name to the roster of adventuring parties which adorn the front of his store. After Kerwin hears tales of their battle with the Ebon Triad, Nari purchases a bag of holding and ring of featherfall, making plans in her head for a journey she believes may benefit all of Cauldron. Meanwhile, Lulu debates how much of Skaven's writings she should reveal to her fellow Adventurers...
