The Age of Worms / Flood Season pt. 19 / Galen the 26th, 3592 CE / 2-21-21

As Lulu works on translating the coded texts of the dead Vexnian, Skaven Umbermead, Nari returns to the shore of the underground lake, hailing the fish-man Tstha-Ghi in order to further investigate the small tunnel which Jozu uncovered in his cave. She determines that it actually leads to the volcano's exterior, providing a potential exit route for the party, albeit one that will leave them covered in mud. Milton investigates some of the rooms of the compound that the party had not yet ventured into, finding only the abandoned living facilities of Triel Eldurast's guards. Once Lulu declares her translations complete, she gathers up the documents and the party returns to the entrance to the necromancer Tarkilar's caverns, determining that they must face their fears and defeat the remaining zombies in order to locate the rest of the Wands of Sacred Water for which they have been searching the Ulat-Kini ruins. With prayers to Ishtalar from Scrimshander and spells of preperation from Nari and her companion Kade girding them, Not By Choice wades into battle. Lulu strikes the ground with the Staff of Ancestostors, providing further guidance against the mind-numbing fear of the worm-riddled zombies. Soon all of the remaining zombie guardians are struck down, but not before one has infected Scrimshander with one of the green worms, which now digs through his body, getting ever closer to his brain.
