The Age of Worms / Flood Season pt. 13 / Galen the 25th, 3592 CE / 11-1-20

Not By Choice is locked in bloody, close-quarters combat with Triel Eldurast and her guards. When the leader of the Triad's Baal faction is finally cornered and alone, she rails against the betrayal of Cauldron's Captain of the Guard, Terseon Skellerang, whom she calls corrupt. Seeing an opening for parlay, the party negotiates a peace with the cult leader, allowing her to take her remaining tiefling guards and leave in exchange for the location of the Wands of Sacred Water. Lulu also asks after the Triad cell's Vexna surrogate, who Triel identifies as Skaven Umbermead. Milton grows frustrated at Triel when she indicates that the wands are guarded by the Rhannon faction leader, a necromancer named Tarkilar, but Lulu, who has encountered the Ebon Triad before, explains that no one faction leader in any cell can command the actions of another. The party will no longer face Triel's forces, but they will be on their own against Tarkilar's undead servants. After exploring the caverns that make up the northern portion of the Ulat-Kini ruins, Not by Choice soon determines the nature of those servants. To the west is a massive skeletal dinosaur which chases off Nari as she scouts ahead. To the east are a horde of zombies, which the party holds back with a wall of flame conjured from Lulu's magic staff. The party retreats to regroup and plan their next steps.
