The Age of Worms / Flood Season pt. 12 / Galen the 25th, 3592 CE / 9-27-20

Searching for the Wands of Sacred Water, Not By Choice moves north into the Ulat-Kini complex. Finding several doors locked, Milton finally discovers the cultists' mess hall. It also happens to be full of cultists. As another battle rages, a door opens and Marrow is pulled into the chambers of Triel Eldurast. Triel makes an offer for Marrow to join her cult of Baal, but the tiefling refuses. She is beaten mercilessly until she manages to cast invisibility and creep into a corner. As the party mops up the cultists in the mess hall, Milton breaks into Triel's chambers, but he is felled by the mighty blows of the magically strengthened Ebon Triad cleric. As the others tangle with Triel's guards, Marrow and Scrimshander both manage to imbue Milton with magical healing, allowing the revived magus to re-form his psychic sword and pass the magical electricity that still resides in his hand through the blade to Triel. As Jozu takes down one of her guards, Not By Choice braces themselves for Triel's next attack.
