Strange Aeons / The Rushton Terror pt. 5 / Eire the 10th, 3592 CE / 7-14-20
General Summary
The party stands on the shore at the entrance of the mysterious sea cave which they suspect of being the home of the Stonebriar Witch. As they proceed inside, one of the large vines growing along the cliff wall begins animating and attacking the party, but Gleorn is abel to act quickly, having previously noted the vine's suspicious placement, and cuts it down. As they proceed once more into the cave, Gleorn spots a trip wire carefully placed to trigger a trap, and Hemlock is able to disable it. Further into the cave, they pass a cavern filled with strange red and white spotted mushrooms. Though the mushrooms are intriguing, they decide to proceed further, encountering a wooden barricade that Garrok smashes apart. Hemlock and Gleorn sneak a peak into what appears to be an alchemist's lab. However they are detected by a pack of strange fungal wolves under the command of a druidic-looking woman who confronts the party for invading her lair. She seems to recognize Esp and Hemlock as employees of Baron Lowell, but upon discovering that they have lost their memories and have been released from his service, she decides to attack the party, throwing lightning and fire and siccing her strange fungal hounds on them. Esp is able to quickly take down the woman with a powerful psychic attack, and the party cuts their way through the fungal wolves, but not before Sigvald is poisoned by their spores.
