Strange Aeons / The Rushton Terror pt. 29 / Eire the 12th, 3592 CE / 5-18-21

Continuing their exploration of Orchid Hill, Hemlock, Gleorn, Garrok, and Trakir head upstairs from the library, leaving Sigvald to guard their prisoner and Winter to guard the door to the library while Esp investigates the books. At the top of the stairs, the party hears scratching like animals coming from the walls. They find one of the bedrooms occupied by a horrible undead creature manifesting as the severed head of a woman with her entrails trailing behind her. She appears to be occupying to bedroom of the Baron Haver Lowell IV, and after slaying her, the party finds some of the Baron's scattered notes describing his visits to Stonebriar Asylum and the bizarre circumstances by which he appears to have wiped the memories of Hemlock and Esp. He also describes making contact in his dreams with someone he describes as the "Mad Poet," who has sent the Baron searching for the dread Necronomicon.
