Strange Aeons / The Rushton Terror pt. 20 / Eire the 12th, 3592 CE / 1-26-21

The party has assembled outside the guardhouse of Orchid Hill, the palatial estate of Baron Haver Lowell IV, one time employer of Hemlock and Esp. While their new companion Desh uses her kineticist abilities to weave a cloudy mist around the party, Gleorn sends his animal companion Scout through the massive hedge surrounding the grounds in order to live up to his namesake. Despite enduring a few scratches from the thorny briars in the hedge, Scout is able to give Gleorn additional information about the buildings and their occupants, on top of what was already supplied by one of the captured cultists of Hastur. However, as Scout is making his way back to his master, he is suddenly attacked by a plant creature which had disguised itself as one of the Baron's topiaries. Scout manages to escape back to Gleorn's waiting arms, the ruckus has alerted the guards in the guardhouse, and a fight commences.
