Strange Aeons / In Search of Sanity pt. 16 / Eire the 7th, 3592 CE / 12-3-19

General Summary

Back at the sanctuary, Winter tells the party that the Apostles are not welcome in the suvivor's camp, but if they wish to learn more about the uprising, they might speak with August Derleth, who was an orderly at the asylum when the trouble's began. The party instead decides to return to the hallway beyond Director Lozando's office and continue investigating. The next door they open reveals a records room in a state of disarray, with parchment scattered all over the floor. The files are being ransacked by a female apostle, who attacks them on sight. The party takes her down, tying her up. They begin searching through the records, and while Esp finds the admission records of the party, Haskell finds Director Lozando's special records hidden in a compartment behind a painting, as well as a sword and a small lockbox containing pearls and a calling card from the Watcher's Guild. Returning to the personal effects room to check on their other prisoners, the party is horrified to discover the one called Tick dismembered and eaten alive, while the other apostle is now missing completely. Deciding to push forward, they head to the door at the end of the hallway, where Haskell previously heard some sort of ambient sound that he couldn't identify. Preparing for the worst, they attempt to open the door, but upon discovering it is locked, Yew hacks it apart with his glaive, at which point a wall of blood rushes out, washing over them and knocking Yew back through an open doorway. As they recover from the disgusting ordeal, they see that the room beyond the door is a large day room, intended for the patients to relax in. A figure sits at the far end of the room, facing the room's large picture windows, a rivulets of blood are drawn back from the shattered to doorway to pool underneath the figure's chair.
