Strange Aeons / In Search of Sanity pt. 13 / Eire the 6th, 3592 CE / 11-13-19

Confronted with the sight of the asylum director, Eileen Lozando, spewing forth strange mists, Esp deduces that she has somehow become a conduit to the Dreamlands. Desperate to end the nightmare plaguing the asylum, the party attacks the director, killing her, but the strange yellow fog and other signs of the Dreamlands' assault continue. Hemlock notes a series of charcoal drawings on the walls of Lozando's office, sensing an eerie similarity to the city of Carcosa, and noting that they were all drawn by a paitent named Zander Ulverus. The party finds many useful items in the director's desk, but possibly most important is her journal, which includes clues as to how they may have first arrived at the asylum themselves without their memories. Among her collection of books, one in Ancient stands out to Haskell, but another "On Violet Sands" by Henri Meirane, triggers a psychic response in Esp, who senses it may have some import. Deciding to return to the safety of the sanctuary, the party re-enters the library, only to be confronted by Ramby and more of his ratlings, who, after their last encounter, appear spoiling for a fight.
