Aleria Campaign / The Seekers / The Frozen Oath pt. 2 / 3588 CE (3/12/19)

The party stands over the dead body of the ice roc, which they begin harvesting for additional rations. Arturo casts a fly spell on Vercingetorix, who investigates the roc's nest, 100 feet up on the arm of the inuksuk. There the dwarf discovers the bones of a dead frost giant who had been picked over by the enormous bird. The giant's messenger bag contains a scroll of chain lightning and a letter written in jotun, which unfortunately none of the party can speak. After a night of rest and recovery, they journey on. The next day they reach the next landmark on Ogthup's map, the "blowy hole" This pit at the center of ancient, crumbled giant watchtower, contains a massive air elemental, that reacts badly to Vercingetorix throwing a rock down its hole. After a pitched battle, the air elemental is dispatched, and the party recovers the three remaining tiles that Ogthup had reported stolen from the frost giant temple and then lost during their escape.
