Aleria Campaign / Doomsday Dawn /The Heroes of Underhill pt. 4 / 3589 CE / 5-21-19

The Gatekeepers finish their bloody battle with the demons who have assaulted the Temple of Underhill, drawn by the awakened power of the White Axiom. After dispatching the last of the babau assasins, they block the omox demon from descending the steps leading to the catacombs, where Grey Vengeance are conducting their ritual. Destroying the last of the fiends, the Gatekeepers find themselves with an opportunity to rest, before once again taking up defensive positions. As the sun sets, they hear a disturbance from the graveyard outside. The glabrezu demon has returned, and is conducting some sort of dark ritual which causes the very grave dirt to churn like a whirlpool. From the ground emerge the forms of four dread wraiths. As the glabrezu demon once again slips through a dimension door, the wraiths assault the party. Thanks to the magical enhancements of their weapons and their proficiency in dealing with undead, the Gatekeepers are able to dispatch the four undead monsters. They once again find themselves with a moment to catch their breath, but know that it will be short-lived, as the graveyard dirt continues to churn.
