Classification
The different locations of the Air Corps have different classifications, this is to differentiate between them. An Aerodrome is the largest possible location, with the most facilities, combined with civil air service. An Air Base is a full base, with everything one wishes to find at such a base. An Air Station is a permanent location of the Air Corps, can be either a former Air Base that has been downsized, or a small base, that cannot serve the largest air ships or a large number of air ships. An Air Port is a civil location. An Air Camp is a temporary base. Used during exercises or expeditions with minimal facilities. An Air Field is a landing spot without any facilities, often even no means of taking on new bunkers.
Aerodromes and Air Bases have a two letter shorthand. All others have a three letter shorthand. But with the exception that if a location once had a two letter shorthand they can keep that even if downgraded. Some older, locations might still have a two letter shorthand even if officially they have been changed to a three letter shorthand when the new rules where written.
Air Ports use a civilian code system, and Air Fields use a two letter plus three number system that falls outside the scope of this article.
Status
The Air Corps has different status levels for their locations. Active, means that the location is currently in use. In-active means that the location is un-used, but still owned by the Air Corps, the buildings are still there. But the equipment is either removed or sealed for long term storage and sealed, minimum maintenance is done. De-activated means unused, buildings emptied or removed, could be still owned, could be sold off, no maintenance is done, left to the elements.
Babington Castle
Even though Babington Castle is the birthplace of the Air Corps, and the largest and best equipped Air Corps location, due to the Army having their Head Quarters in Ivoryhall, and it being the capital, Ivoryhall Air Base is the headquarters of the Air Corps. But Babington Castle gets the title Aerodrome. R&D is located in Babington, as well as the docks for large scale maintenance and new building. Many factories for equipment necessary for air ships are in that vicinity. And the Technical schooling Squadron is located in Babington Castle. Aswell as Technology wing 300 and tech staff squadron 3000, they reside in Babington Castle.
The Aviator training squadron was originally at Babington as well, but due to the amount of airships going about the aerodrome, it was moved to Ivoryhall which has less air traffic. Also, because the Air Base at Ivoryhall is located on the army grounds, which are on the opposite side of the city than the two Air Ports Ivoryhall has.
New Oak
Contrary to what might be assumed by the name, New Oak is not a replacement of Fallen Oak. Fallen Oak was still active during the creation of New Oak. Fallen Oak is named after a might oak tree that had fallen over centuries ago but manages to live on. New Oak is named after Commodore Oak, Commander of the Second Air Corps Brigade during the Eastern Conquest. New refers to the fact that the location was in the newly conquered lands.
Millpoint
Millpoint houses the Air Corps Orphanage for Lost Boys and Girls, and was in-active for a long time. But the new Odonat crafts found a home there, in the Air Corps 10th Fighter Wing and Air Corps 20th Fighter Wing, with empty skies for testing. And away from spying eyes, foreign and domestic.
Wellinggar harbour
Wellinggar harbour is a new temporary location, and houses the 30th Fighter Wing / 1st Naval Air flotilla during their expedition.
Starlight
Starlight got de-activated at the time it was still an Air Base, then it was turned into a civil Ai Port. But traffic was so low that it barely got use, so little that the shorthand was never changed and still remains SL.
