Wyrd wanted to animated to world, he wanted fate to decide its shapes. He thus merged back mater and saouls together and created Terragast.

To possess a body was both a strength and a weakness. Connecting matter and soul had a exhilarating and entirely novel effect. Terragast was a feat of this.   Terragast the Earth Shaper roamed the land, using his immense strength and power to shape the world to his liking. He had created the mountains and carved out the valleys, raised up the hills and dug out the great canyons. For as long as the earth endured, he would be there, a force of nature that could never be tamed or controlled.
