Worldember 2024 Prep

Area of Focus:

As I am coverting this world from paper notes I think it is high time I get the major historical events and timelines started and hopefully finished, perhaps even redoing many of the historical events as I wrote them nearly 4 years ago now. But overall I hope with this challege i'll be able to atleast make a coherant and informative timeline including all major historical points linked to a small article to give a more indepth explanation of the event and to do this I will be focusing on Pre-History and Era changing events.   Im excited to start this as my world relys on history alot and at the moment not a lot of articles make much sense without the context of its history and how it defines the world.  

World Meta:

I have not really messed around with the world meta properly so this will be a great oppotunity to do so.   Progress: 100%   Update: While I still need to add the Music snippets for the different kingdoms im glad I slogged through creating the meta as I feel I now more fully understand my world, goal, tone, and much more and I feel ready to start and more motivated to do so.  

Finally:

Since I started this project in the summer holidays I havent had much time to work on it due to school and exams but I hope this challenge gives me the motivation to work on it, especially now seen as exams are over for me, I honestly cannot wait to begin. Good luck all!

Homepage review:

I decideded to completely redo my homepage following the elavator pitch video and im glad I did. Im now alot happier with it as its more consise and better portrays what my world is about and not just a general description of it. Next ill have to tackle the primer.  

Creating a world primer:

I have managed to complete the first draft in time for the next assignment but it is still very rough and needs alot of work. I think this is somthing I will work on in the background over the next few weeks but it gets the basic infomation across. One major point I need to do is to create a pollitical map of the world while I have the rough one on the primer I need to update it.  

Community tools:

Although it was tedious I managed to add the follow button to each of my published articles and while I was doing that I sorted out my todo list. Three whole hoours of sorting and rearrabging an excel spread sheet was not fun but I feel a lot more organised now and im ready to go.  

Watch a movie:

As im not a big reader I get the huge majority of inspiration from TV media and playing videogames, so with the new release of Arcane season 2 and the release of Dragon age the Veilguard Ive also been playing some new games to me like Greedfall which im really enjoying. I love the atmospheres of all of these especially that of Greedfall, Teer Fradees landscapes, the polotics about religion especially with Theleme that is somthing I really want to emulate with the dynamics of my political states and their views towards each others religions.  

Create a moodboard:

I completed a few moodboards on pintrest for one or two of my kingdoms landscapes and it really helped to visulise what my Kingdoms look like and how it can influence the demographics I will continue to add to them.  

Music playlist:

I have one playlist which is hours long and I continue to add to it, I tend to add music and game sound tracks as they are more often than not epic which really inspires my writing I still ahve a long list of soundtracks I need to add. But I dont particualy have a genre of music I listen to when I write.  

Scheduling:

As I am still in full time education I will be mostly writing during my frees when im not doing homework or after school where I get a good hour and half to write usually undisturbed as I stay in school. But i want to give myself the additional challenge of writing for at least half an hour a day which im excited to start and i cannot waut for this challenge to begain.
