Mokele-mbembe
Basic Information
Anatomy
These large sauropods have a long neck and tail, with the tail making up half of their total length. Along their back is a row of small spines. Females can grow to be bigger than the males.
Ecology and Habitats
Native to tropical lakes and rivers, these territorial sauropods are never far from water. They can often be seen basking along the banks of their chosen water source.
Dietary Needs and Habits
While the vast majority of their diet consists of vegetation, they have been reported to eat some small creatures. They must eat a lot of food.
Behaviour
These sauropods are considered very aggressive and have been known to attack hippos. When threatened by larger creatures, they will crack their tail like a whip.
