Basic Information
Anatomy
Coatyls look relatively similar to Amphiteres, having a serpentine body and wings. However their wings are feathered, and they tend to be much more brightly colored, and have shimmering feathers. The males are usually more brightly colored than the females.

Genetics and Reproduction
Coatlys prefer to nest in rocky overhangs. They have only a few young at a time and relatively long periods between breeding.

Coatyls have a highly restricted range, and are only found in tropical jungles.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Small mammals and birds make up the majority of their diet. Some cultures believe that they are capable of eating humanoids, however they have been no confirmed reports.

Lives in flocks of around 6 individuals.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The majority of the cultures that interact with coatyls consider them to be very beautiful, and even worship them to some degree, leaving them small offerings of small boar and large game fowl.
Their feathers are highly sought after by nobles and royals, and the coatyls themselves are prized as pets.
