Amber Blazeheart's Journals

"These are for you to write your thoughts and observations of the natural world around you. Fill these pages with all the knowledge you gain while out in the grass, and pay as much attention to the tiny bees as you would the Prairie Drakes. There is much we have to learn of this prairie we call home, and I am counting on you to discover much of it's secrets." Amber's Sponsor when she gave Amber the blank journals.

Purpose

When Amber Blazeheart began attending college, her sponsor gave her a handful of blank journals so she could record her journey to become a master naturalist and record her observations of the natural world.

Document Structure

Clauses

These journals are organized by date, with Amber writing an entry nearly everyday, and sometimes even multiple times a day.

References

As Amber filled more and journals with notes, she began to reference earlier journals involving certain observations. The newer the journals, the more references towards other journals there were.

Publication Status

The journals are housed at the same college that Amber attended in her youth. Much of the knowledge that is recorded in those journals have been used in several other books throughout the years.

Historical Details

History

The journals span from the start of Amber's first year of college at 16 to a few days before her death at old age.

Public Reaction

Scholars have referenced the journals for years after Amber's passing due to the shear wealth of knowledge they contain.

Legacy

These documents contain the original recordings and sketches of Amber's observations. Much of what she wrote about included new species and new behaviors of known creatures. Her work revealed that the creatures of the prairie were not monsters, but animals that sought to survive on the prairie.
