The Six Strings of Magic

All reality is woven from Six omnidimensional "strings"

These strings, as perceived by elves who taught magic to humans are as follows,

1) Correspondance, that which enableds the other five strings to interact. This is known as the String of the Source of All That Could Ever Possibly Be to the Elves and is often referred to as the Loom by human Wizards.

2) Energy, power, electricity, radiation. Keep in mind that on a fundamental ALL matter is energy. The power bound within atoms is the domain of the String of Energy. Elf Term: Stri g of the All Burn of Totality

3) Entropy, the rate which the energy provided by the second string dissipates. Using this string it is possible to speed or retard this process, but there is no known method of fully circumventing this string. This is known as the String of the Long Chill Night where Singing and Laughter shall die by the Elves

4) Time, this string of magic can effect the flow and duration of time. Note, that whilst backwards time travel is technically possible this increases the ammount of entropy in the universe to the point where a thirteen second backwards jump cut 4.3 billion years of life from the universe. Further experimentation has been forbidden. The Elves fear this string with an almost religious fervour, calling it the String That Heralds the Song to End Everywhere All At Once

5) Dimensionality, Effects how many dimensions an object takes up and allows ascent/decent amo gst the 13 (theoretical only 11 can be proven) dimensions that make up all reality. This allows for teleportation but massive time dilation seems an unavoidable side effect of trying to even perceive the higher realms. With time being theorised to not exist at all past the eleventh dimension. The Elves call this The String That Makes a String a String

6) Mind, it is inevitable that any system left long enough will generate organised subatomic patterns which match brainwaves. These Boltzmann Brains are known to commoners as ghosts and spirits. This is the result of the weakest string, the String of the Mind, also known as the String of Souls. This is the string that makes brain resonate with eachother, but can also be used to direct and harness intentional thought into artificial boltzemann brains known as Tulpas. The same process can be used on a large scale to generate artificial "gods." The Elves
