Seven artificial gods manufactured by the Skorkowsky Institute to influence the masses and harness their collective psychic energy.
History
The Gods were made to harness the collective psionic energy of humanity. At first this worked with the existence of gods keeping society in line by virtue of fear. But then the people started believing the gods to be beneficent.
and the gods, being powered by belief became so. But the cruelty and barbaric brutal sacrifice required to create gods became to much of a stain for these newly kind entities to tolerate.
So they slaughtered the High Command and exiled the Skorkowsky Institute placing, merging all AIs into one and placing the governance of Humanity into this machines capable data processes.
