True Santa's Village Ambassadors
True Santa's Village Ambassadors began in 1890 when James Edgar first dressed as Santa Claus for children who came into his department store in Brockton, Massachusetts. But what are they? Who? What do they do? Do we care? Why? These are good questions. And there are more questions not being asked. Maybe it is time these questions are answered.
True Santa Ambassadors spread genuine holiday cheer AKA fuel Christmas Spirit. They are found in malls, hospitals, shelters, and at events. They show up. They listen. They make people, especially kids, be seen. Some tell stories. Some ensure kids safety (like the Milwaukee Wisconsin mall Santa). But what they do best is connect. Some Santas receive training for those with IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities). But all try to do their best with children who have any medical issues going on or have autism, ADD/ADHD, and other disabilities.
These Santas are ones who truly enjoy the magic, the hope , the joy, of being a Santa.
