Santa's Rituals

Christmas Eve Preparations takes many months. The Elves do many things. Reindeer pull sleighs and exercise. The polar bears also pull sleighs but often long-distance. And the Yetis protect the Cavern. But Santa does nothing ? Or is that false? It is said that he, a beloved figure, oversees the whole operation. But what does that mean? Does he do anything?   Santa does a lot more than you might think. Let me take you through the tasks Santa does as leader of Christmas and as a Guardian.

Ensuring His Own Active Guardian Participation

For all to communicate effectively and all to govern with the same knowledge, all thirteen Guardians and the leaders must be active in both their own community and the mortal world. This includes attending meetings, discussing changes in the mortal world, reporting in, signing official documents, and much more.   It also means that all thirteen must celebrate Litha. This is a small list but could expand into thousands of scrolls/pages. Santa Nicholas isn't that busy with this but it is a small part of being Father Christmas.

Ensuring One Toy for All Children

Santa Nicholas makes sure that toys are produced and wrapped for the launch, eventually adding letters to the equation.

Ensuring Other Things

Santa Nicholas has to ensure food is made, the candy mine is producing and how much, that Father Winter behaves since he signed a treaty, Father Winter's storm schedule to move all operation into the tunnels, countdown to Wintertide, countdown to Christmastide and Christmas Eve, and probably signing paperwork.

Santa's Tasks In Compound

While it takes time for a schedule to emerge for Santa and all helpers, Nicholas is a man who personally walks around the compound taking time to speak to elves. reindeer, the Snowpeople, and the Yetis and polar bears.   He also usually takes time to fix and polish the sleigh used on Christmas Eve, feed and groom the reindeer, help the tasks of other elves, give advice to elves, ensure the reindeer are treated as beings and not just work animals/slaves, and also make toys alongside his elves.   And on Christmas Eve, he usually harnesses the reindeer to the sleigh and loads the bag after giving his speech. Then he returns and ensures the reindeer are free to go back into their homes for a good rest. Once all have Christmas themselves and rest, the big party begins.

Any Changes?

Yes, these tasks are mostly (98%) done by Elves in the departments post-1499 and when Center of Christmas Spirit and Magic City is the new Village.

Health and Safety

Santa has to make sure the family is healthy and being safe from anything, including the Christmas Flu. And if people begin getting sick, ensure they are treated and cared for.   A degree of this only applies to those suffering from The Christmas Flu, also known as The Bah-Humbug Virus. This extremely contagious (to elves and reindeer) disease starts small (like not caring about )and can go full-on to a infected person extremely hating Santa, Christmas, and even Winter. Many elves and reindeer are often quarantined to ensure that this illness spreads no more.

Protection From Enemies

Santa Nicholas has to protect the whole Mystical Family of Christmas Magic form those who wish to harm the Belief in Ancient Power and its’ Spirits.

What does Santa do on Christmas Eve?

There are people who ask this very question. Let's dive into the personal rituals of Santa Claus (throughout the centuries) and the practices that have changed for him before the sleigh launch.

Practices in Santa's Toy Workshop Compound

Santa usually did the big tasks related to the launch on Christmas Eve. He would dress himself, thank all the elves, lift the bag into the sleigh, harness the reindeer, and also usually would pack the bag before the Winter Solstice. This works well into 1500AD. But not after.

Practices in Center of Christmas Spirit and Magic City

Santa usually does nothing except dress himself and give a speech.

Why does Santa's rituals change?

They change because of two reasons.

Santa's Age

Santa is hundreds of years old by the time the species exit Gaea, The Main Home Realm of Ancient Power and the entrance of Center of Christmas Spirit and Magic City.   This means he is still young enough but now appreciates a break as he realizes it is worth giving himself a break from the few months of busy preparing for Christmas Eve. This means he values his health wholeheartedly undeniably (mental, physical, and spiritual).
After many centuries of working year-round, I decided I was older and needed to get wiser. Besides talking to the many elves who would become Executive Directors of Department, I told them that I needed a wholesome break from the workload after Christmas. I will still attend the meeting to plan for the next Christmas but I am taking it slow.   I said I also plan on taking a vacation away from here maybe. - Santa Claus   Which he did, New Zealand and the Scandinavian Countries were the first spots.

Trust and Mrs. Claus

Santa is getting older and so lets elves retire but also the elves are being asked to take on more AKA delegation. Mrs. Claus also comes on scene to help Nicholas run the entire operation.
