Magic Rebirth Divination

  The Return of Ancient Power or Magic Rebirth Divination was the second one to appear. It appeared after the birth of Baxter Jevon Oran Baggs. It further confirms the identity of the Chosen One. It also signifies that this newborn individual will play a pivotal role in the resurgence and return of Ancient Power.   The Guardians, although they do not fully comprehend the nature or potential of the newborn child, are certain of the child's identity as the Chosen One. They are aware that clarity will make all clearer as events and time unfold.   What powers will the Chosen One possess? What is their role? What is their role in the return of Ancient Power? How much power will they possess? What powers will they have? What do they need a guardian of to truly complete the circle of leadership?   These questions and more remain unanswered, creating an air of mystery and anticipation that excites and piques the Guardians’ curiosity.  

Spread/Apocrypha

The already-fulfilled prophecies of centuries past were discussed and were known to all members of the Congress.   These two particular divinations remain only known to Gertrude Claus and the Guardians of Childhood. As not to get hopes up, it is kept shrouded in secrecy with others never being made aware.   As with all things, there was a reason to keep both a secret. All the Guardians understood it. Nicholas would’ve said something to the people in the valley but he never wanted them to experience hopelessness and sadness again if it was possible so he said nothing.   Sandman and those who came after all knew first-hand the weight of destiny they carried on their shoulders. Every choice was measured against the magnitude of what might come to pass. And as such, they knew it was up to Baxter in the future to make whatever decision he would need to.   But if he, the child at the heart of these prophecies, does end up stepping into the unknown then he will come to understand this burden too.  

Pre-Baxter's Entry into Guardians

After both prophecies were revealed, all thirteen declared two things.   The first is that none of them would interfere with Baxter’s life. Baxter would stumble through youth without the shadow of destiny at his heels. No burden of the knowledge or secrets all thirteen know until the time came.   The world could wait. Each Guardian could wait.   The second declaration, just as important as the first, was whom amongst the thirteen would lead the communication between them and Baxter.   Anyone could. Nicholas was the first person to volunteer. Nicholas argued he was more Human and better suited for the job. Maybe this is true. Just maybe.   The others, for once, didn’t argue. Nicholas had several things going in his favor that the others hadn’t taken into consideration. And they voted yea. It was a consensus. It would now fall to Nicholas to ensure this potential Guardian would be informed enough to say yes or no.   Nicholas created a plan. It was submitted and voted yea.   Until it is time, Baxter is left to grow and be a normal Human. He is blissfully unaware of the currents swirling beneath the surface of his life.   The Guardians would reveal what they knew only when the moment truly demanded it, when there was no other way forward.   The thirteen watched and waited, knowing that some secrets, once told, could never be taken back.

 

Historical Basis

Now, there is no historical basis for both this and the Prophecy of Power. It is truly an historical event in the magical world!   Centuries have passed since the last prophetic statement.   When the Prophecy of Power came, the emergence of a new Guardian who might hold more power than any other Guardian became something unexpected but holds tremendous historical and magical significance. This is nothing short of earth-shattering.   The Guardians knew they were witnessing history in the making—a chapter so new, even the oldest among them had no precedent to draw upon.
