Father Winter

As the personification and embodiment of winter, Father Winter (Primordial God of Winter AKA Winter Incarnate) has divine authority over the cold, ice, and snow. He also has complete sovereignty and control over the Artic Circle and Antarctica. He is responsible for the Annual Ceremony of Yuletide, which is the annual ceremony of changing fall into winter. His home has always been in the Arctic. But now, he shares it with Mantle of Santa Claus and the Mystical Family of Christmas Magic AKA Santa Claus and the Christmas Beings Family.   The birth of Father Winter was many eons ago. His birth was so powerful, it triggered a Snowball Earth, plunging the planet into deep freeze. He’s had a hand in every Ice Age that’s come and gone — though back then, he was driven by darkness and anger that lasted for millennia. And he wanted to change it.   He was lucky he chose now to find a new purpose. He became a Legendary Guardian of Childhood thereby joining the Collective Congress of Ancient Power. The old bitterness and darkness follows him but he slowly is changing as the others help him with gaining some new emotions, particularly Love and Hope.   Father Winter also has many family members with Mother Nature or Mother Earth.   Father Winter is a Primordial God that originally chose to be associated with the Guardians. He is Winter Incarnate personifying and embodying the season of Winter. He has divine authority over the cold, ice, and snow. He also is sovereign over the Artic Circle and Antarctica.  

Father Winter's Family

While Father Winter is primordial and therefore can and has created beings for the season. Winter Sprites, Winter Fairies, Winter Nymphs work for him and with the other beings of winter.   This doesn't mean he doesn't have children.   Father Time, Mother Nature, and Father Winter had been living long ago in a time before Humans. Mother Nature had already created children but she was going to create children with Father Winter. The eldest is Jack Frost, who has all of his father's powers. The other children of the two include Miss Snow, Mr. Cold Miser, Blizzard (they/them), Miss Ice, Snowflake (they/them), The North Wind (Male), and Miss Sleet. There may be some unknown children.  

History

HISTORY While there is not much history known on Father Winter to anyone, a few things are indeed known.   Father Winter's birth created a Snowball Earth.  

The Snowball Earth is a geohistorical hypothesis that proposes during one or more of Earth's icehouse climates, the planet's surface became entirely or nearly entirely frozen with no liquid oceanic or surface water exposed to the atmosphere. The most academically referred period of such global glaciation is believed to have occurred sometime before 650 mya during the Cryogenian period. - Wikipedia

  Father Winter, being a deity of the season, had much darkness in him.   He eventually was longing, hungry for something beyond the clash and jockey for power positions between all the deities. But he still had darkness in him. All other deities basically gave him what would become the Arctic and Antarctic (polar zones).   Later, Incantus and Isis Mystic and the others came down. Father Winter felt them. He joined them because he believed he could be of use. And maybe lose the darkness.   His cold heart lasted well into becoming a Guardian. But he tried.   It was centuries later that he began to change. His temper subsided enough.  

Powers

Winter Mastery/Sovereignty: Father Winter, Primordial Winter God, has absolute power and authority and control over winter itself.   Winter Incarnate AKA Winter Embodiment: Father Winter embodies and personifies Winter, which allows him limitless control over the season, and everything connected to it, especially the Water element and its variations. He has divine authority over the cold, ice, and snow.   Winter Manipulation: Known also as Kheimokinesis or Yule Control/Manipulation, Father Winter is able to tap and induce the winter and the powers of snow and ice.   Winter Inducement: As a Winter Deity, he is able to bring the season of winter, causing hibernation in animals, diminished or halted growth in plants, cold weather and long periods of darkness.   Winter Storm Creation AKA Snow and Ice Storm Generation: From snow falling to blizzard conditions, he is able to create storms of varying power. He is able to create local storms to natural disasters.
