Christmastide Valley Aromas

    The aromas around Christmastide Valley are varied and many. Together, they remind people of Christmas and what it truly means to have the spirit of the holiday within themselves. The Christmas Elves, and honestly Nicholas too, often forget this isn't what most mortal settlements smell like. But when people come, it smells too lovely! They often don't wish to return to the real world with all its' ugly and unpleasant smells.   We'll look at each place and the smells which are there. While some might seem to almost magically just appear, others are created by the hardworking elves and other residents.  

Christmastide Valley Forest Smells

Christmas Valley Woodlands smells of all evergreen trees and pine and earthly but also clean and crisp. Being out here smells natural and lovely.   Polar North Yetis - Hairy Humanoids and Polar Horses and polar bears smell similar to the forest.  

Within Both Hearts

As there are two hearts, we will go by buildings and departments.  

The Claus Kitchens AKA Department of Nutrition

In the wondrous making of food in the kitchens (sometimes called Mrs. Claus's Kitchen) seems to always smell wonderful and pleasant when Nicholas visits or when someone smells the bakery or main kitchen.  

Bakery

The Claus Bakery makes many things. One is bread. One is cookies. And then the brownies. But up north they bake candy canes as well.   Peppermint, gingerbread, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted chestnuts, fruitcake, and more are used in multiple recipes. But each smell is often separate even when combined together. All addictive. All sweet.  

Main Claus Kitchen

In the main kitchen, breakfasts to dinners all smell yummy. The various food ingredients smell good separately but even better together.  

The Toy Workshop

The toy workshop has very little in way of smells. Mostly woodcarving and woodworking induces evergreen smells throughout the sub-department.  

Reindeer Stables/Animal Residences

Animals up north do not smell like most do in the mortal world. They smell clean and natural. All animals smell clean and natural. And yet, they in particular do get cleaned by elves. Santa’s Main S-1 Team is cleaned the day before the launch as well as their normal showers. Many of them don't need to be cleaned as they are clean.   What about poop? Poop smells disgusting usually. Does it here? No. For some reason, poop has no disgusting nor nice smell. It has no smell. Nobody knows why. It is used in the greenhouse because it has no smell.   The Clauses do smell but that article is yet-to-come.
