Awakened Blights (Uh-way-kend Blaits)

Awakened Blights are typically evil creatures as they are created from dark magics that animate chaotically woven plant material. Most awakened blights that do not choose to stay with their master tend to stay in the closest nearby forest from the area they were released from.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A series of interlocking vines/ivy/weeds make up the body of blights and create a humanoid shape, a stream of magical energy within the core of their bodies connects the multitude of individual plants together as though they are a single organism.

Genetics and Reproduction

Without having a druid within their members, they cannot reproduce.

Ecology and Habitats

They live in Forests and woods, typically those corrupted by dark magics. On the rare occasion of multiple Awakened Blights come in vicinity of one another, they will often live in their group and never venture outside of it, these societies, known as Moots, often die out in 50 years as they have no means of reproducing other awakened blights without learning of the magical arts themselves, as a result, these societies are likely the most sparse of them all.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Same as blights, Awakened blights need sunlight to eat, but also need to eat meat to gain nutrients that immobile plants would gain from their root systems.

Biological Cycle

When the seasons change, they usually change like many plants do, thinning, shrinking and browning.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Blights can range from not having faces to having an approximation of a face depending on the nature of their creation.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Blights do not have standard sensory capabilities of animals. They instead possess a form of hearing which is based on sensitive leaflets throughout their bodies. This form of hearing also gives them blindsense of 30'.
