Dense forests of light blue segmented plants cover the shimmering world Lachesis. The land is a maze of steep valleys from the ice caps to the equatorial jungles. Every eleven years, billions of rugose creatures hatch all at once and begin to swarm, eating everything in their path. The Mewei Domain vessel MDS Naiad crashed here. Its reactor core is still considered too hot to approach, but that has not deterred wildcat explorers from trying.
