The Hollowed Kingdom of Ristagarhd

The Hollowed Kingdom of Ristagarhd is both above and below—rolling surface hills studded with farming halfling villages, and beneath them, the awe-inspiring carved realms of the Dwarves and Gnomes. Within these cavernous halls, entire cities shine with crystal-lit streets, towering stone bridges, and forges that never cool.

Inhabitants:

Dwarves, Halflings, and Gnomes.

Culture:

Craftsmanship and community are the pillars of Ristagarhd. Dwarves rule with tradition and lineage, ensuring the kingdom’s laws remain as unshakable as the stone they carve. Gnomes thrive as inventors and artisans, producing wonders of clockwork and alchemy. Halflings, though less industrious, are vital farmers and traders, providing food and warmth to balance their allies’ stone-born stoicism. Together, they form a society both practical and enduring.

Architecture:

Entire mountains hollowed into kingdoms of stone, reinforced with iron pillars and carved with geometric precision. Vast markets, glowing crystal lanterns, and underground rivers make these subterranean realms feel alive. On the surface, halfling hamlets are simple but welcoming, with rolling farmlands that feed the great halls below.

Strengths:

Masters of craft, engineering, and defense. Their underground cities are nearly impregnable, and their smiths create weapons, tools, and works of art sought across the continent.

Weakness:

Conservative traditions often stifle change, and many dwarves distrust the politics of the Council. The deeper their mines dig, the more whispers rise of forgotten things dwelling in the dark.
