Tasa's soldiers came and raided the village

The soldiers of King Tasa invaded the basin, first raiding Gerend before moving on to Batrar. The men took anything they deemed useful including food, clothes, weapons and tools. They also took men to work as their slaves and boys to be recruited into the army.   Kassaran fled to Ardenka forest behind the village. He ran so that he would avoid being taken. While hiding, he found a dragon egg which hatched. The hatchling bonded with him after he touched it.   Fearing the beast, he ran back to his village, only to find his father had been one of the ones who was taken.
