Writing Doesn't Have to be Lonely
Even in the darkest tower,
My spirit will not cower.
No sun is seen for many an hour,
Yet still I shall not sour.
Many a night I wander alone,
Through the tiny place I've known.
When suddenly, I was handed a tome,
And now some bat wings I have grown.
A streamer here,
A follower there.
In the darkness I shall not spare
Another word written anywhere.
For though the day brings light,
And darkness is at night,
For bats it is the time to write
And writing is the brightest sight.
My spirit will not cower.
No sun is seen for many an hour,
Yet still I shall not sour.
Many a night I wander alone,
Through the tiny place I've known.
When suddenly, I was handed a tome,
And now some bat wings I have grown.
A streamer here,
A follower there.
In the darkness I shall not spare
Another word written anywhere.
For though the day brings light,
And darkness is at night,
For bats it is the time to write
And writing is the brightest sight.
