Day 2 - Mephit? _{(meh - fit)}

Breakfast was light and cold today. We were on guard and had to move out quickly. Nothing we weren't used to but still a damn letdown considering we thought we'd be back home by now. We moved out through the space to look for some answers, we got to a point where we split up, and shrooms and I went into a building long since toppled. As we made our way through, we stumbled onto another one of those "Titan spawn" as Glorbo called them (Found out they're called Mephits by the way). This one looked like a spirit or a ghost and it floated around effortlessly without using its wings. I was about to cast a spell when Shrooms stopped me, he waved his hand and his eyes went black, and he said he was connecting to it - weird bastard

We brought it back to the rest of the party and they nearly took its fuckin head off. We explained that they typically (not that I trust the little shit) don't attack unless threatened here, but that there's a whole damn city of them further in and that this plane is their home. Where all of their kind come from. Dennis and Glorbo wanted to leave as soon as possible but they got outvoted - sucks for them hehe. We followed our new airy friend to this so-called city of theirs. If we knew where we were going we could have gotten there a lot faster, the little fucker kept flinching and hiding at nearly everything . . And they thought I was jumpy. We pried some more information from our guide as we went along. He told us that his kind were merely servants to more powerful beings and act as summons for menial work. When dismissed, they return back to this hell-hole but he made it seem like a good thing. I had asked how come we had never heard of this plane before, he gave a mischievous grin and chuckle and said it was a secret . . red flag

We eventually made it and again, calling it a city isn't exactly accurate. More like a wide spread of cobbled together huts and buildings that have been patched up, and A LOT more Mephits. I feel like we're on the verge of a pretty big discovery here but I know we have to stay on alert. From our brief walk through some of the outskirts we saw lots of different colorful characters, mostly ducking into cover from us. I can't tell if that's a good or bad sign but I'll find out more tomorrow
