Cattle in all of Amerielle was cursed and became very ill. Almost 70% of all cattle in the area died. The families fought for land and to survive, it was a young general of the Shone Baret who led the army across the mountains to secure more cattle and ease the famine. He was heralded as a savior. It would be no surprise that this general would eventually become Emperor, Emperor Endyd I

The war was destructive but ultimately the Republic won, but as expected Endyd declared himself emperor and the people gladly agreed.
