The Devils

Common Devils:

Imps are known for their playful yet malicious nature, delighting in pranks, trickery, and causing minor chaos.
An imp will proudly serve an evil master of any kind, but it can’t be relied on to carry out tasks with any speed or efficiency.

Barbed devils are known for an alertness that makes them difficult to surprise, and they attend to their duties without boredom or distraction.
Creatures of unbridled greed and desire, they act as guards to the more powerful devils and their vaults.

Bearded devils are fearsome shock troops, serving archdevils with unwavering loyalty.
They revel in the thrill of battle, their infernal glaives slashing through their enemies with deadly precision. Any slight, real or imagined, ignites their rage, fueling their insatiable hunger for violence.

Chain devils act as sadistic jailers and torturers in the infernal realms, relishing pain and living to inflict it on others. They are called on to torment mortal souls trapped in The Hells.

Bone Devils are driven by hate, lust, and envy, and act as the cruel taskmasters of The Hells. They set weaker devils to work, taking special delight in seeing fiends that defy them demoted.

Greater Devils:

Horned devils stand as tall as an ogre and are sheathed in scales as tough as iron. The flying infantry of the hellish legions,they follow orders to the letter.
Their huge wings and sweeping horns create an intimidating presence as they drop from the sky and strike with deadly forks and lashing tails

The Erinyes, known as the most beautiful and striking of all lesser and greater devils, are fierce and disciplined warriors. Sweeping down from the skies, they bring swift death to creatures that have wronged their masters

Ice devils serve as commanders of the infernal armies of The Hells, tormenting lesser devils as an outlet for their anger and resentment.
Coveting the power of their pit fiend superiors, ice devils work ceaselessly toward promotion, slaughtering their enemies and claiming as many souls as they can for their archdevil masters.

Pit Fiends attend the archdevils of The Hells and carry out their wishes. These mighty devils are the generals of the Nine Hells, leading its infernal legions into battle.
With an inflated sense of superiority and entitlement, pit fiends form a grotesque aristocracy in the infernal realm.
These domineering and manipulative tyrants conspire to eliminate anything that stands between them and their desires, even as they negotiate the convoluted and dangerous politics of the Nine Hells.

The Archdevils:

Lust

Her blood-red gown drapes off her shoulders lasciviously, her collar spread out and colorful, as a peacock's tail. Lust makes mischievous deals, often requiring unchaste favors, or desecration of a strong love for someone, or something.

 

Gluttony

Driven by his want for more, the bloated porcine creature called Gluttony often makes deals with haste, asking for more and more than most mortals can provide.

 

Greed

Coin makes this greedy crow's senses tingle. In exchange for either curses on their enemies or boons for themselves, those who strike deals with Greed find themselves parting with growing amounts of gold, coin, and other valuables.
His jet black feathery form and sharp beak match his crow-like curiosity for odd bits and trinkets.

 

Sloth

Sluggishly dragging his snail-like bottom half, he creeps across the hells, making pacts and deals with mortals "lucky" enough to find themselves in his slimy grace.
Only those desperate for his armored protection or time manipulation should draw near, for his gifts come with great drawbacks, mainly altering the mortal's aging process.

Wrath

An unending flame, enraged by existence itself, Wrath shows barbaric practices like smashing, slashing with its greataxe and impaling things with its horns.
Similar to a minotaur in form, but much larger in stature, Wrath is the only archdevil unable to make pacts with mortals, since its eternal rage makes it incapable of coherent speech.

Envy

As a pastime, Envy enjoys undermining their colleagues' achievements, otherwise they're found complaining about their secondary position in the levels of hell.
Envy's form shows part of a reptile; eyes green with envy, a slithering tongue of lies, and fangs filled with words of poison.

Pride

The lioness leader of this pack of unruly kittens, Pride is a being of pure cunning and charisma. Sure to strike a deal written in infernal blood, she takes pleasure in profiting by exploiting others' weakness.
Pride's humanoid form still shows feline features, and although female in appearance, she flaunts a magnificent mane of golden hair.
