Envorad
Envorad are spectral manifestations preserved by tremendous amounts of unfiltered [Foyson](material:1ab8c7ff-2928-4f2a-bf66-5d75871693e9) carried by the

, metaphysical echoes that continue to appear after the original events that triggered them. It is generally agreed upon that most envorad are not Sluagh, the unquiet dead, citing the appearance of inanimate and non-sapient entities, and the extremely rare example of a subject surviving the events depicted by the envorad. There are, however, several examples that complicate this understanding.Tasmant
Tasmant, also called "awakened envorad" are manifestations that appear to contain not only the fragmented echoes of an individual, but potentially their awareness, memories, or even their anoan itself. These instances do not exist in a repeated cycle, but seem aware and react to objects and individuals not present at their foundational sequence. These tasmant are considered to be Sluagh, and range in both the complexity of their actions and the amount they can interact with the world of the living. Unlike Herla, Tasmant seem to possess at least some level of self-awareness and personal identity. Tasmant who die by drowning sometimes appear in their old harbours, dripping wet, a warning of a coming storm and a call to drag the boats in from the dangerous waters. Every year, thousands of Tasmant begin ghostly, candlelit processions to forgotten chapels. Ghost Rabbits and similar apparitions are examples of Tasmant. The Ankou seem to tolerate their presence, ignoring them for the most part.Envorad Talsim
Another variation of the envorad is the envorad talsim, a magical artefact that seems to contain a shard of its possessor's personality after death, usually manifesting as strong emotional reactions in its possessor, and occasionally poltergeist activity.Manifestation
Manifestations of envorad typically capture extended sequences of events, rather than any singular moment. Although any event or entity may be preserved as an envorad, they are especially vibrant in cases of extreme emotional states. As a result, they are often associated with murders, suicides and untimely deaths, although in reality envorad exist outside of these instances as well. Individual instances of envorad vary greatly in terms of complexity and strength, ranging from a simple repeated action played out in an endless loop to complex sequences carried out with precise details. Most envorad recreate the actions leading up to the moment of their creation, which ironically often occurs at the original entity’s destruction.
A typical envorad manifests as a luminescent, translucent representation of their base entity, most commonly a figure, but instances of animals, buildings and trees have been recorded as well. Although appearing semi-solid, these whisplike figures are intangible, dissipating and reforming when disturbed. This has led many scholars to surmise they are formed from Feth Fiada, showing similar properties as the Faerie Mist.
Localization
Envorad most commonly manifest along leylines and in locus pools of magical power, frequently appearing within the Bleed. The magical instability of these places often precludes active development, relegating them to desolate ruins, storm-tossed seas and lonely roads. Hauntings become stronger under conditions similar to those of the establishing event, such as weather, time of day, and atmospheric conditions.
Areas of extreme magical destruction are especially rife with envorad. In the sunken city of Ys-Beneath-the-Waves, for example, as Wyldstorms) pummel the surface, a massive instance occurs, with the streets of the Lower Wards full of ghostly figures and glowing structures long since reduced to rubble. On Palace Hill, Ballrooms are full of ghostly dancers killed in the fall of Ys, circling the room in an endless ball. Meanwhile, in the forests of Lyonesse, ghostly animals continue their habits, startled by a sudden dark force as an invisible waves smashes into the forest.
Most envorad hauntings do not rise to this grand scale and are found in significantly smaller instances, ranging from ghostly ships riding over phantom waves to solitary figures in dark hallways, spreading tales of ghosts returned from Mag Mor to haunt the sites of their deaths.
