Apostate

Apostates are often powerful and feared magic users, set apart by their ability to master multiple magical Disciplines. In Witch-hunter lore, their dark and forbidden rituals often blamed for the manifestation of aberrations and otherworldly horrors. They are seen as unchecked forces, able to raise the dead or twist the very fabric of existence without relying on the more traditional methods of Oyun or Hedge Mages / Alchemists. The Apostates’ ability to straddle all forms of magic makes them dangerously unpredictable, and while Dream Mages alter reality through the Dream Realm, Apostates’ ability to dabble across all spheres magnifies the threat they pose to Alterran’s magical balance.
