The Abyssal Tome

The Abyssal Tome is the only recently authored book of black magic (i.e. not one of twelve Amalorian tomes). There are only 13 black magic tomes in existence (the twelve Amalorian tomes and the Abyssal Tome). Of the 13, 11 remain in the Great Library of Vekirai, in the vaults of the Treasury Tower, guarded constantly.   The Abyssal Tome was written by Oloroa and contains his musings and theories and the mechanisms of black magic. In particular it focuses on magical self-empowerment through ritual sacrifice to the fallen Amalorian gods. The culmination of the Abyssal Tome is the secret of immortality which Oloroa believed would give him godlike power that he could share with others through their ritual sacrifices in his name. It is not known if Oloroa successfully achieved godlike power.   It is written in the ancient Amalorian language with commentary in the Vekirati dialect of Viru.
