Tygonaus
A tygonaus is a wendigo that has absorbed an abundance of rage or hatred from its host. Glutting itself on these feelings, the wendigo will transform into a grotesque half-human, half-bestial form: that of a humanoid with a horse's head riding a horse with a humanoid head. They are some of the most dangerous wendigoes that exist.
Feeding Pattern
Tygonai specifically exploit feelings of resentment and hate that last for a long time. When one attaches to a host, it will read their mind for any sort of grudges or slights the host might be holding. It will bring these up again and again in the host's mind, breaking down their resolve. Finally, when the host can no longer take it, they will offer a proposal: use the Null magic powers the tygonaus has given them to get revenge.
If the host chooses to take revenge against those who wronged them, the tygonaus will grow stronger. With every grievance "righted," the host's Null magic powers grow, but so does their wrath. Eventually, the list of those who wronged them grows to the point where no one is safe. The host becomes totally consumed with getting back at those they see as deserving, which at this point is just about everyone.
Countermeasures
Those possessed by tygonai are extremely dangerous to be around. They will lash out in anger at anyone who comes close to them, attacking at full force with their new Null magic-based powers. However, an experienced wendigo hunter can extract a tygonaus by pouring Spectral Water over the host or using items blessed with Undifferentiated Anima to fight them. Once extracted, the tygonaus will attack relentlessly, destroying everything they come into contact with. For this reason, it is recommended that only the most experienced wendigo hunters approach one who is afflicted with a tygonaus.
All this in mind, prevention is key when it comes to tygonaus possession. Grievances should not be allowed to fester for a long time in communities, and those who hate each other should try to resolve their issues or leave each other alone. Furthermore, no one should be left with the feeling that they are taken for granted or uncared for; the best defense against a tygonaus is a solid sense of community.
