The Memory Matrix
As the keeper of Solstice memories, it is The Winter Orchestrator's responsibility to make sure everyone keeps the spirit of the Winter Solstice all throughout the year. To do this, he keeps and stores fond memories of this magical time of year in the Memory Matrix.
Utility
As denoted by its title, the Memory Matrix stores all the pleasant memories The Winter Orchestrator gathers every year around the Winter Solstice. After gathering them, he flies back to his castle in the far north to process them. Upon arrival, they are sorted and stored in the matrix, remaining there regardless of whether they are remembered or not.
But the Memory Matrix doesn't just store the memories; all throughout the year, it gathers latent Anima from them and sends it straight into Altairus's atmosphere. This creates a kind of joyous greenhouse effect that keeps the spirit of the Solstice - that is, unity and good cheer - alive throughout the year. If that weren't enough, it also literally fuels The Winter Solstice Spirit, nourishing and protecting Yule City.
The Memory Matrix appears to expand infinitely in all directions to contain its ever-expanding collection. It is not known how large it actually is or whether there is a limit to its carrying capacity.
