Fangtooth Jungle

Being that the Fangtooth Jungle is in a tropical environment, it does not experience seasons like the more northern areas of Altairus do. Rather, it experiences a wet season and a dry season, much like the tropics on Earth.

What is most interesting about the Fangtooth Jungle is that it is teeming with an abundance of dinosaurs. Some of these dinosaurs are similar to those found in Earth fossils, while others, such as tree cockatrices, are quite different. This is due to the fact that the Chicxulub meteor did not affect Altairus when it hit Earth. Rather, climactic changes in the northern regions killed most of the dinosaurs off, leaving them to thrive in the tropical regions of the world.

Perhaps the most abundant resource and the one for which the Fructose Peninsula is named is tropical fruit. Altairians regularly risk life and limb to snag the rare tropical fruits that grow all across the peninsula.
