Outline

Soalgo, Tern, & Vaela

• After entering the private sanctuary, Soalgo demands to see Bishop McKinnon inside the room.
  • Rie Anders questions Soalgo demand.
  • Tern questions Soalgo's action.
    • Soalgo is upset that nobody stuck with the original plan.
  • Soalgo, hostile towards Rie Anders, goes straight to the guard with his demand and that he wants to give his statement.
  • The guard mentioned she would talk to the Bishop and bring him to the bishop.
    • .Soalgo protested that he should be brought here.
    • The guard responds that the statement will be made in the appropriate room.
• Once things settled, Rie Anders started to explain the next steps of the legal process.
  • For instance, reviewing the bail bond hearing.
  • Anything said to your lawyer is private, except for future crimes.
  • He explained the magical licensing system.
• Rie asked if anybody had previous crimes on their record.
  • Soalgo mentioned he was arrested in the town of Painaumaïs.
    • Rie was unfamiliar with that town and asked if it was a registered or unregistered city.
    • Soalgo replied unregistered.
  • Soalgo also mentioned that he has pending arson charges in Morly City.
    • The sentencing had been halted until he replaced what was lost in the fire.
    • Vaela commented about his parents bailing him out.
• Rie explained the various charges and shared the witness statements.
  • Tern is curious about the reptile lady described in the witness statement.
• Rie talked to Soalgo about his recollection of the event.
  • Rie also assisted Soalgo on his statement.
• After a few hours, a guard knocked on the door to bring Soalgo to the Bishop for his statement.
  • Soalgo asked if his companions could come along, and there was no disagreement from the guard.
• The guard brings the party to the location of Bishop McKinnon and Jimmy Tealinks for Soalgo's statement.
  • Soalgo surprised the Bishop and the others by saying he would like to append to the current deal before giving his statement.
  • Bishop McKinnon, annoyed by the slight deception by Soalgo, had asked him to get to the point.
  • Soalgo asked that he could have the room to themselves with the lawyer.
    • Soalgo secretly implied that the topic is on the raids planned against the Steelflags.
    • Bishop McKinnon caught the hint and asked Jimmy Tealink and Rie Anders to leave the room.
  • Soalgo attempts to jazz up his pitch by appealing to the honor of Helm and the loss of it by the spies that are inside of it.
  • Soalgo brings up a possible infiltration of a foreign power that plans to replace the vacuum of the Steelflags.
    • He offered to become a confidential informant to help down this new group.
    • Soalgo implied that his lawyer, Rie Anders, is a possible informant of this group.
    • Soalgo will offer the name and description of an actual agent of the organization.
    • Tern is visibly uncomfortable and caught off guard by what Soalgo is attempting to do.
      • Bishop McKinnon noticed this unease and shock from Tern.
      • On the otherhand, Vaela was just picking the dirt out of her fingernails.
    • Believing that Soalgo has actual information, he informs him that he must bring this new proposal to the prosecution and majestrate for approval.
      • Soalgo go implores to keep this quiet and tried to appeal to possible grandeur if did it under wraps.
        • The Bishop has no taste for grandeur, and everything must adhere to procedures and the law.
    • Tern, doing their best to hide their discomfort, the Bishop asked if Tern and Vaela would like to be part of the deal.
      • The Bishop asks, if they would like to be apart of this deal.
      • They both declined and then were allowed to go to bail bond hearing with their lawyer.

Kuu, Ladron, Nyxara, & Zan

• While sitting in the bar, Ladron constantly looks out for any type of thieves' cant. Unfortunately, the hookah smoke prevented him from noticing the secret language of a thief.
• Ladron wondered aloud that they should find a place more quiet.
  • Xan suggested her apartment.
  • Kuu mentioned that he'll stay behind.

Ladron, Nyxara, & Zan

• On their way to Xan's apartment, Ladron notices many Steelflag signs.
• At the apartment, Ladron asked how she managed to train a fox.
  • Xan mentioned that it just happened one day and did not go into the details.
• They hear a domestic disturbance happen on the floor above.
  • Xan mentions that it is a normal thing between them.
  • Out of curiosity, Nyxara wildshapes to see what is happening.
• Nyxara and Ladron begin talking about the next steps and whether they should find a way to break their friends out.
  • Xan offered to leave the room.

Kuu, Tern, & Vaela

• Kuu had waited in the square up front and smelled of liquor.
• Tern asked if Rie Anders was free in a few hours.
  • But he mentioned that it is outside of business hours.
• Vaela inquired how to contact him.
  • He gives Vaela a “sending” card with his address.
• Tern wanted to talk to Vaela about Soulgo.
  • Tern gives Vaela the rundown about Soalgo throwing his lot with the Bishop.
  • Tern “yell” explains their relationship with the Western Flock and how Soulgo destroys that relationship.
  • Vaela informs Tern not to “yell’, but understands the situation.
  • Kuu explains the deal proposed by the Western Flock.
  • Tern is wondering what to mention to Ladron or to warn the members.
• Kuu leads them to the location of Xan.

Everyone

• Xan hears a knock on her door.
  • Xan is shocked as she is used to nobody ever knocking on their door.
  • Xan opens the door with a hand on her dagger and notices three individuals.
• Tern asks Ladron if they trust Xan because they have to update him about the Eastern Birds.
  • Ladron mentioned that he trusted her enough.
  • Nyxara vouches for Xan.
• Tern asks if Xan is Steelflags, and the reply was “No.”
  • Vaela gets the impression that she is a Steelflag member, but Xan doesn’t feel good about being a member
  • Vaela peppers questions at Xan.
  • Xan showed that she has the Steelflags brand mark between her shoulder blades.
• Xan mentioned she was an orphanage resident under a different leader, Leigh Starbringer.
• Xan mentioned she wants to get the fuck out of town.
• Tern had asked Xan to leave the room for 5 minutes so that they could tell Ladron something.
  • Ladron spoke up to allow Xan to stay.
    • Xan story sounds similar to his story.
• Tern then mentioned how Soalgo is making a deal to turn in the Western Flock.
  • Ladron shocked.
• Vaela questioned why they couldn’t remove the shirts to look for the brand.
• During the conversation about the orphanage, Xan mentioned she’d been involved since she was thirteen.

Everyone

• Xan leads the group and takes the fastest route to their lawyer's office in the dead of night.
• While traveling to the new location, Vaela noticed several people looking the group over.
• Once they reach the Law Office of Rie Anders, Xan enters the shadows and leaps onto the roof.
• Tern inquires if it is safe to talk to Rie Anders here.
  • Rie Anders flipped a switch to make things more private.
• Tern informed Rie Anders of what Soalgo planned on doing and how it could affect him.
  • Tern mentioned that “Stacy” is a foreign entity planning to take over the city.
  • Tern reimburses the cost of the lawyer.
• Rie Anders is looking for a plea bargain with all the deal ideas that were thrown around.
• Tern worried about being murdered, so Rie Anders suggested using the Johass Bar’n Grill.
  • The Johass Bar’n Grill is a safe house.

Everyone

• They arrived at the Johass Bar’n Grill and got a room.
• They went to the bar area of the inn and started ordering food.
  • Xan sat at a different table.
• Vaela is unsure of what to order at the BBQ.
• Tern is confused as to why Xan is feeding her fox pork and peppers.
  • As foxes are allergic to peppers.
• Tern briefly talks about the potential of going to prison.
  • Mention that Vaela and Tern would attempt to escape.
  • Or try to leave town.
  • Or have Ladron attempt to break them out of prison.
• They talk about what to do about Soalgo and the Western Flock.
  • Ladron mentioned that he painted a big target on his back.
  • Tern asked if they would like to support Soalgo’s play.
    • Nobody wants to help Soalgo, as they would like to be friendly to one thieves’ guild.
