Fellowship of the Mystic Arts

Class of Arrangement

The Class of Arrangement determines the magical aptitude of people who wish to become Wizards or Sorcerers. The school will provide, free of charge, testing to all citizens in the city who believe they have magical abilities and a thirst to acquire them. The course is three months long at the Mydror-soot Chamber. The testing is initially designed to weed out the potential sorcerers from the potential wizards. Sorcerers are born with the ability to touch and mold magical energies. Those who would like to be wizards must show they can grasp the concept of the mystical arts. Those who can learn the arcane are eligible to pursue further education. Those with sorcerer abilities are offered a working scholarship to the school if they cannot afford the tuition. The wizard candidates who cannot afford the tuition must find a sponsor from a provided list of alumni and donors.

School of Order

The School of Order is where potential wizards sharpen their skills in a desired path. There are eight orders: Viabilité, Vision, Seraphic, Blindage, Obligatoire, Ensorceler, Pouvoir, and Changement. These orders make up the eight mystic abilities that create the arcane. Each one harnesses those powers, and those who go into a specific order will begin mastering them.

Order of Viabilité

The Order of Viabilité studies the ebbs and flows of the living world. Some call this the dark arts, and others necromancy. They view it as the essence of all living creatures and something that should be respected. This order will teach students the physiology of living creatures, the unseen force of all life forms, and to harness that energy. All of their studies will be held at Salle Magique De La Mort.

Order of Vision

The Order of Vision studies the art of misdirection. Illusionary art isn’t about visual deception but the deception of all five senses. This order will teach students the five senses of living beings, psychology, and the art of illusions. The students will conduct their studies at Salle Miroir.

Order of Seraphic

The Order of Seraphic studies the flow of time and space. The mystic art of divination involves manipulating arcane power to gain glimpses of the past, present, and future. The students will learn to still their minds and emotions. After calming their minds, they will move on to pulling the energy from the arcane and sculpting it. Once students know how to sculpt the power, they can move into understanding and interpreting events. Students study this type of magic at Augury Maison.

Order of Blindage

The Order of Blindage studies the art of defense using the arcane. The power of the arcana can produce powerful evocations. So, there needs to be an equal power of protective abjurations. In this order, the students will learn about analyzing the battlefield, the art of defense, and sculpting the arcane into protection spells.

Order of Obligatoire

The Order of Obligatoire studies the mystic art of summoning, which involves the power of conjuration to move an object or creature from one location to another. The students will learn about physical substances and the various planes of existence, and then they will use their knowledge to sculpt the arcane and transfer matter from one point to another. All of the lessons will be held at the heavily warded Salle Cercle.

Order of Ensorceler

The Order of Ensorceler studies the art of manipulation. It focuses on sculpting the arcane into enticing and beguiling energy that controls creatures' minds. Within the Enchanto Building, students will learn about the behavior of various creatures, the psychology of humanoids, and sculpting the arcane with their voice.

Order of Pouvoir

The Order of Pouvoir studies the art of offense using the arcane. Students will learn to sculpt the arcane using destructive elemental powers. They will use these spells as offensive might on the battlefield. The students will learn about the elemental planes and some of the outer planes. They will also learn battlefield tactics and sculpt their offensive prowess to not harm allies. The Order of Pouvoir practices their sculpting at Homme Brulant Auditorium.

Order of Chimie

The Order of Changement studies the art of manipulating matter. Students will learn to sculpt the arcane to change the form of objects or to manipulate a property of matter. They will also need to know about physical matters. They will study the alchemical processes. Then, learn to sculpt the arcane to mutate everyday objects. All of their learning will be held within Salle Myootat.

School of Sculpting

The School of Sculpting works to develop those who were gifted to manipulate the arcane without being taught. These people are known as sorcerers. Those people with those gifts are granted a full-ride scholarship to the Fellowship of the Mystic Arts. Some were born with the ability, and others were blessed with the ability from another source. The students here will learn from where they receive their gifts. Sorcerers may not need to be taught the arcane, but they will then learn how to manipulate the eight forms of the arcane.

General Courses

Series of Guerre

The series of Guerre is an array of courses that teach warfare. It is a mandatory series of courses for the Order of Pouvoir and Blindage but an elective class for the other orders. It is part of their curriculum to learn battlefield tactics for their respective arcana practice. The classes will teach battlefield tactics, troop movement, and best command processes. Later courses will teach blending proficiency in evocation and abjuration abilities, giving the caster a great offense and defense.

Series of Eblouir

The series of Eblouir is an elective that will teach students dazzling dance moves while expertly handling a blade. Students from the Order of Pouvoir, Blindage, and Ensorceler tend to take these elective courses. These courses are designed to give students precise foot movement and an understanding of space, time, and breath. At the same time, other courses in the series teach swordplay and combine the dance movement into locating a hit zone and controlling a target like a dance partner.

Series of Penne

The series of Penne will teach students how to create scrolls and magical books. All students are required to attend the first two courses in this series, which cover the creation of a wizard's book and scrolls. Learning how to bind the folios together, choose the writing paper, and select the material needed for hardcovers is essential. The wizard’s spell book is crucial for learning the techniques to sculpt the arcane. Additionally, wizards will also need to learn how to create a school.

Series of Pesanteur

The series of Pesanteur studies the art of sculpting the arcane to manipulate gravity. The following courses are electives and will cover the analysis of mass distribution and the attraction of bodies. Students will learn how to solve linear motion problems with constant acceleration and understand the motions of celestial objects. This knowledge will enable students to manipulate the forces that affect gravity.

Series of Chronos

The series of Chronos is the art of manipulating time with the arcane. The following elective courses will teach students about time measurement and its flow. It is mandatory for members of the Order of Seraphic to take some of these courses, as they will help them understand the past, present, and future.

Faculty - Department Heads

Seezel Slak - Order of Viabilité

Professor Slak is the head of the Order of Viabilité. He is a master necromancer who aims to change people's perspectives on the dark arts. He has been studying the art for 25 years. Before joining the Fellowship of the Mystic Arts, he was a lead researcher on implementing undead in the workforce. Part of his agenda is to teach the students of this order the ethics and ethical implementation of this art form.

Franklin Mubo - Order of Vision

Professor Mubo is the head of the Order of Vision. He has always been a gifted illusionist but has only been head of the department for less than a year. Professor Mubo's agenda is to have students explore and become more acquainted with the world around them. He believes the better the illusion will be, the more you know of the world.

Amelia Ombre - Order of Seraphic

Professor Ombre is the head of the Order of Seraphic. She has set an agenda for her students to learn the art of diplomacy. Most graduates of the Order of Seraphic end up as counselors to the government, companies, and the rich. Students should know how to proceed and best explain their visions. She has also implemented meditative studies of relaxation.

Athena Epine - Order of Blindage

Professor Epine is the head of the Order of Blindage. She has held this position for seven years and was in the military before that. She was stationed at the Tower of Atos and fought in the Cheval War. Athena's final assignment before taking on the role of an instructor and department head was to patrol the border of the western Moucheaigle mountains, protecting the settlements from giant attacks. As a professor, she implores students to use the battlefield to their defensive advantage.

Toorgwar Feufeuilli - Order of Obligatoire

Professor Feufeuilli is the head of the Order of Obligatorie and has been head of the department for nearly ten years. Before becoming a professor, Toorgwar was an everyday adventurer who traveled to all points of the multiverse and had first-hand experience with multiple planes of existence. After his adventuring phase, he became a conjuration researcher at the school.

Loi Stupéfier - Order of Ensorceler

Professor Stupéfier is the head of the Order of Ensorceler and has been the department lead for five years. Before entering academia, he was a member of the parliament cabinet as a communication director and an adjunct professor at the school. He has been studying the art of communication and enchantment for 15 years. As an adjunct professor, he started a beat poem club that is still active.

Ame Eclair - Order of Pouvoir

Professor Eclair has been head of the Order of Pouvoir for three years. She is a military veteran who has led several campaigns along the Oberan border and was a vanguard evocation commander during her time in the military. Unfortunately, she suffered a career-ending wound from her last campaign and retired from service. She went into teaching to share her knowledge of the arcane and how to use it properly in battle.

Chanter Tuer - Order of Chimie

Professor Tuer is the head of the Order of Chimie. He is a master transmuter whose goal for the Order of Changement is to provide the best teaching and equipment for future alchemists and transmuters. He has been the headmaster of the Order of Chimie for about two years and has implemented improved safety protocols. He is also known around campus as a craft brew enthusiast.
