Arcadian Dragon Exodus
"Boy, what do you know about dragons?" Said the old, grizzled sailor after draining his fifth mug of ale.
"Not much," said the waiter, confused.
"Pull up a chair, me boy. This tale begins long, long ago.
Two hundred years ago, dragons used to live all across Arcadia. Burnin' villages, eatin' livestock, hordin' gold. Yet about a hundred fifty years ago, something happened. Humanity's rise to domination.
Elves had their nigh endless lifespan. Dwarves stay hidden away. Humans? Their sub-century lifespans mean they gotta repopulate like rabbits.
Now, you've seen your half-human, half-elves, -beastfolk, -dwarves, etceteras. Have you ever seen a half-elf, half-dwarf?
Now lad, what's this gotta do with dragons? Y'see, dragons, they hardly reproduce. Once every few centuries. They can't understand how these puny, insignificant humans can be so god damn horny, and that terrifies them.
So, as humanity rose to dominate Arcadia, dragons fled. Most flew West, over the Crescent Isles, over the Connecting Seas, so far West they went East."
"Sir, this is a Wendy's," said the waiter, as he picked up the empty mugs and tray.
"Not much," said the waiter, confused.
