Noah Bastos
Noah Riso Bastos (a.k.a. The Sludgeside Slicer)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Wiry and slightly malnourished, Noah doesn't strike an imposing figure. He looks about 10 lbs under a healthy weight and his sunken eyes give the impression that he doesn't sleep most nights. His emaciated condition is a product of both a chronic illness, derived from the toxic waste produced and dumped into the river by the Industrial District, and his nightly activities of stalking perspective victims.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
The Ministry of Ergonomics assigned Noah Bastos to be a cannery worker from birth. Whisked away, like all born within the Empire's borders, from the delivery room, he grew up under the tutelage of the Academy of Labor. There he trained to work with and repair steam powered machinery, but most importantly, the Academy teaches strict obedience to the Empire. At the age of 16 he was assigned to work in the Auban Cannery, one of the larger fish packing factories in the Industrial District of Grenagem, and to live in Sludgeside, one of the south riverside slums.
Noah quickly became disillusioned with his lot in life and looked to the large numbers of ethically Tantani and Roza workers living around him. He grew to despise how lowly his station was when compared to many foreigners. How come an imported Islander be assigned a more prestigious job than a purebred Grenagan? It was this hatred that spured him to begin a spree of killings which would bestow him the moniker: "The Sludeside Slasher."
Education
Academy of Labor: studied steam engine and machinery maintenance.
Employment
Maintenance worker at Auban Cannery.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Sure, if you consider 17 murders (and counting) without being caught an accomplishment.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Noah blames the imported and indoctrinated Tantani and Roza workers for the conditions male Grenagans must endure. This misplaced hatred has led him to commence a campaign of bloody murders with the intention of intimidating foreign populations and rebelling against the female upper class which assigns peoples place in society.
