Amara Registros

Chair of Records

Amara is the oldest of the Council, and is widely respected for her dedication to the job. She was the apprentice of the first Tantani councilwoman, the previous Chair of Records, who left her post after nearly 60 years of service in Year 98. She has held her position for 54 years and has yet to take on an apprentice, unsatisfied with the candidates the schools send up to her, instead putting them to work in other areas of the department.   Regardless of this, she continues to spend her days working primarily on the historical records, going through and correcting any errors she has found. This has resulted in a few scandals from times she pulled up false information, once even causing another councilwoman to lose her seat. This also led to her gaining fearful respect especially from the older councilwomen, some of whom believe, but would never dare to say, that Amara doctored the information that was revealed.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Amara has been dedicated to becoming the Chair of Records all her life. She learned to read very early on and began to study every history book available to her, building a base for her knowledge, and writing multiple essays on the different historical events and inaccuracies in the Empire. Her training got her selected to be an apprentice to the previous councilwoman, who passed away only two years later, leaving Amara as the Chair from age 18.

Accomplishments & Achievements

She has corrected multiple inaccuracies in the history books of The Empire. This led to some controversy, especially related to the things she exposed about the conquest of La Tantani. Her attitude is that having an accurate history is important above all else, but given her solitary nature, she is respected for this but not trusted.

Failures & Embarrassments

She was humiliated in her last years of training for an essay she wrote that was immediately discredited by the previous Chair of Records. She had made assumptions about the history of the Empire without sufficient evidence because she thought she was on to something, but the Chair came out and provided evidence otherwise. This made her dedicated to the finding of evidence to support the histories in the books, but also attracted attention to her, and was the reason she was selected by the previous Chair.
