Another moment in the cursed millennial cycle. This war was the greatest act of destruction and bloodshed to ever occur on the face of Amora, so great that it reset the calendar.

Before this war, the ancient peoples had become highly advanced and developed projectile weapons. They each had developed autonomous soldiers commonly referred to as Sentinels capable of mass destruction the likes of which had never been seen before. The Sorra, the most technologically advanced civilization back then, were testing designs for an atomic bomb that could annihilate an entire city. Skahn, who had been watching patiently from below, had seen the power of the Sorras’ weapon and the Sentinels and now planned to make use of them to annihilate the inhabitants of Amora. Using his host Rudol whom he had placed in a position of power as the king of Preytora, he acquired access to the Sentinels and used his malice to possess their bodies. Being machines, they had no resistance to his commands and turned on their own unexpecting citizens. Out of desperation the Sorra sent an emergency message to all of the warring factions telling them to evacuate their cities and then fired the new atomic bomb on themselves. All of the major cities were destroyed and what Sentinels survived the blasts ran out of power and fell into disrepair. Rudol was found by the hero and killed, making Skahn lose his connection to the surface world. The few people who survived lived in the wilderness for a hundred years and regressed back to basic nomads before they felt safe returning to their old cities.
