The history of the world of Alrulan, dating from the Creation to the Great Exodus.
The gods constructed the world of Premora. It was a lush diverse landscape with a moderate climate. They created humans and allowed them to inherit the lands. The humans formed tribes and split off from each other in shared interests. Though peaceful for some time conflicts arose amongst various human tribes. This culminated in a war that enraged the gods. The bloodshed, pillaging and all other crimes against humanity were punished by banishing the people from the lands.
The surviving humans were forced to flee Premora and promised a New World by the Gods. The Gods guided these humans across the Great Ocean and created the new world as the refugees crossed into it. In order to prevent the humans from returning to Premora, the gods took Premora into the sky where no man could reach it. Once the pilgrims arrived the gods divided the people into the innocent and the guilty. In order to prevent the warmongering and evil humans from corrupting the peaceful humans, the gods caused a great earthquake to divide the new world into two continents. The gods named the northern half of the new world Amora and the southern half Nevora. They cursed the land of Nevora to become hard and cruel like the humans that lived there. The weather became inhospitable with intense heat and the land became mostly infertile. As the soil became red it was now iron rich. The Gods believed humans had hardened their hearts and likened it to metal surrounding them. Fearing that the Nevorians would try to return to Amora, Oxomus, a god of the sea, created a tempest in the middle of the new Axian Sea that spawned a powerful South bound wind that no ship could sail through.
For the humans that were allowed to stay in Amora, the gods transformed the humans they favored for their integrity and purity into elves. The leader of the elves was known as Exomas and helped establish settlements across the new world. Despite this his brother Xavian grew envious of him and instead of working alongside him, betrayed him. This led to the first war in the new world and it too was not taken well by the gods, one in particular. Luto, a god of light, was so angry he damned the world with an endless cycle of wars. He wanted to destroy Amora and begin again but the other gods recognized that there was still much good in the new world and stopped Luto from cursing the lands by burying him deep in the earth. To compensate for Luto’s curse, the gods blessed Amora that when the time came for the war to engulf the land, a hero would rise to protect the virtuous from destruction. In addition, the gods created the bestial races of orcs and goblins to inherit Amora after the first war. This is considered a way to mock all warmongers, for they are more savage than beasts.
The world’s vast array of conflicts from the past were mostly lost to time after the Fifth Millennium War. It was particularly brutal and resulted in near extinction for most races. People were set back to square one and trying to just get by. Amidst these everyday faces, Wilhelm Rydlyn I was born (this will become important later).
